They were so endearingly optimistic those days when talking of a cross-Atlantic hovercraft service :) They no longer cross the Channel and the only service I know is between Portsmouth and Ryde in the Isle of Wight which, if I am not mistaken, takes about 10 minutes. Hardly a cross-oceanic voyage.
